There are many commercial builders out there but very few have been on the 'other side' - that is owned and operated a commercial venue of their own. This is what makes Marcin and DBSG different. Marcin has been owner operator of numerous hotels over the years.
Each hotel underwent a major renovation of which Marcin was the designer, builder and project manager. Given this position, he understands the workings of a bar/restaurant and the importance of service provision in a hospitality project.
With a keen eye for detail and a solid working knowledge of the hospitality industry Marcin is able to suggest pragmatic real time solution during the build. Variations can be costly if done late into a build but if changes are picked up early, they can save you money in the long run - plus or minus 100mm can make all the difference in a bar, kitchen or service area. It's all about efficiency and output of a well designed work areas.
A building job with us means Marcin is your Project Manager and Builder – we don’t delegate your project to supervisor and a team of apprentices, meaning the buck stops with Marcin.
Office Fit-outs
In addition to hospitality, DBSG has undertaken numerous office fit outs from small scale home offices to corporate offices and factories. Commercial fit outs can become quite costly and need to be broken down into 'needs' and 'wants', this alone can save thousands.
Interior Design & Furnishing
Every hotel, restaurant, cafe or office needs a point of difference; something to draw the client in and make them want to return.
DBSG has a flair for style and furnishings. It is essential to pick the right colour scheme and furniture to ensure your space flows and is welcoming.

Marcin creates 'mood boards' which is a cost effective way to 'work your space' before actually splurging on the luxuries. Keeping abreast of what's trending, Marcin will bring new ideas to the table which you may otherwise never have considered!
Audio Visual Installations
As part of our already broad service, we are able to assist our clients with any audio visual installations as part of the building works or as a stand alone project. DBSG held a national installation contract for a main advertiser, installing screens into shopping centres. This contract saw us travel all across Australia undertaking small to large screen installations.
Ongoing Maintenance
Now that DBSG has completed the renovation of your spectacular hotel, restaurant, cafe or office it's time to think about maintaining your new asset that you have just spent thousands on! Many people have the misconception that 'everything is new, I don't need maintenance'. This is wrong, while everything may be new, regular maintenance needs to be undertaken to ensure it stays looking this way!
DBSG can provide you with a regular maintenance schedule, be it weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly or annually. As builders we have a good understanding of an items life cycle. For example, by simply changing washers in taps regularly, you can save on leaky taps (water bill), or a disastrous sink flooding which will run up a big repair bill with carpets, tiles, paint & plaster work etc. Other items which feature on maintenance schedules are essential services (ie fire and emergency lighting), electrical circuits (ie lighting and transformers), refrigeration (condenser units), services and amenities (bathrooms & toilets), general wear and tear (ie painting, carpets & tiles) and OH&S issues (such as stair cases, balustrades, trip & slip hazards and emergency egress).
By keeping up-to-date with maintenance you may save on the cost of insurances and extend the life cycle of your investment.
